Due giorni in terra piemontese, due esperienze di strada belle ma opposte. Sabato pomeriggio e domenica mattina mi ritrovo ad Alba alla Fiera del Tartufo in un carnaio incredibile di gente e diversi colleghi già piazzati. Zig-zag tra i passanti, trovo un buco dove sistemarmi e comincio a suonare, ma a causa della calca la gente fa fatica a fermarsi, e per lasciarmi un offerta iniziano lanci di monete volanti nella custodia. Termino soddisfatto per essere riuscito a lavorare nel delirio più totale, ma con la testa che scoppia!
Tutto il contrario la domenica pomeriggio quando scappo dalla bolgia diretto ad Acqui Terme, dove a dominare è il frastuono del silenzio. Una desolazione poco incoraggiante, ma che invece si rivela un pomeriggio bellissimo e rilassato, come se la gente stesse solo aspettando che arrivassi per uscire dalla case!

Two days in Piedmontese land, two nice but opposite experiences on the road. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning I find myself in Alba at the "Truffle Fair" in the middle of a incredible caravan of people and several colleagues already placed. Zig-zag among the passers-by, I find a hole to settle down and start playing, but people struggle to stop because of the crowd, and to leave me an offer they start throwing coins in the case. I'm satisfied to be able to work in the total delirium, but my head broke out!
On the contrary, on Sunday afternoon when I run out from this mess, I go to Acqui Terme, where the sound of silence dominates. A desolation not very encouraging at first, but then it turns out to be a nice and relaxed evening, as if people were just waiting for me to get out of their houses!
